Many years ago I met a young man that is of a marriageable age but yet to marry. I asked him why he was not married; I was surprise at his answer. He feels marriage does not worth it if all you get is an additional trouble from a woman who he perceived to be a necessary evil. He told me he is not interested at all. This man would not be the only one that I have met with this kind of mind set. There are many like him and some are even married but they could not see their marriage outside this ‘box’. A lot of people today have place a limit on their marital destiny like this young man.
The question then is, is marriage that bad and ugly? No! Marriage is Beautiful. Many are limited by their experiences and what they have seen happen in the life of others but you should not allow this to limit your marital destiny. It is not only unbelievers that have this erroneous mind set but Christians as well. People have created monsters out of marriage and the shadows of this self-created monster is hunting them whether married or not. But your hour of deliverance is Now!
As a child of God whose report will you believe? The Scripture says, God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar;… Romans 3:4.I shall be sharing with you the Beauty of Marriage from the mirror of the Word of God. If you are married it will help you to begin to see your marriage in a different perspective, and if you are yet to marry, you will not need to enter marriage with fear.
The first question to ask is, will God be involved in what is not good? No! God is good and He is the originator of everything that is good. Your understanding of who God is and what He stands for will help you. After God created everything in the garden of Eden He saw all that He made very good. But on the second look He saw something that was not good and He quickly fixed it.
And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
Gen 2:18-25
This is the beginning of the institution called marriage. God started it to fix the problem of man and if you are seeing anything contrary then it is not of God. Marriage is not to add to your problems but to help you out of every problems.
Marriage is a gift from God, from the account of the first marriage in the garden, Adam did not ask for it but God gave him as a gift. The Bible says:
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James1:17
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Matthew 7:11
God is still in the business of giving good gifts ask Him and He shall not deny you.
From now on your marriage shall be an epitome of God’s glory and its beauty shall be seen by all. Amen. You may be wondering how this will come to pass I your life, I want you to put your trust in God who can do all things including your own thing. If you are His child, he will not let you down.
