I REMEMBER…
PATH RESTORER BIBLE CHURCH
If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord (1 Cor. 9:2KJV).
If in the opinion of others, I am not an apostle, I certainly am to you, for you have been won to Christ through me (1 Cor. 9:2 TLB).
If in the opinion of others, I am not an apostle, I certainly am to you, for you have been won to Christ through me (1 Cor. 9:2 TLB).
When I remember Reverend S.K Beckley, I remember Path Restorer Bible Church. Path Restorer Bible Church is the local assembly of redeemed men and women; young and old; delivered from the kingdom of darkness of Satan and translated into the Kingdom of the dear Son of God. When I remember John Wesley I remember Methodist Church. When I remember Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola, it reminds me of Christ Apostolic Church. The mention of Pa Joseph Akindayomi reminds me of The Redeemed Christian Church of God. The name of S.B.J Oshoffa also reminds me of the Celestial Church of Christ. When I remember Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa, I remember the Church of God Missions. And when I also remember Rev. S.K Beckley, I remember Path Restorer Bible Church. These all are physically dead men but whose names remain with us today as a reminder of what God can do through an ordinary man who will yield himself to the will and purpose of God.
When Jacob Isaac left the land of Canaan for Egypt at the instance of the invitation of Joseph-the child he believed to have died many years ago-they were just seventy souls. But at the time of the Exodus-the great departure of Israel from Egypt back to the land of Canaan-they had become a great multitude of people, too numerous to number! God had multiplied them and turned them to a great nation. In like manner, when the Late Rev. S.K Beckley came to Olodo as a Christian missionary, he came as an unmarried single; all alone by himself. But at his departure from this earth, he was no longer alone! Daddy Beckley, beside the fact that you are survived by wife, biological children and relatives, you are also survived by hundreds of children in the faith of the Lord Jesus.
Apostle Paul of blessed memory, in the work of his ministry, not only met with opposition from those without, but discouragement from those within. He was under reproach; false brethren questioned his apostleship, and were very committed to assassinating his character and sink his reputation; particularly at Corinth, a place to which he had been instrumental in doing much good, and from which he had deserved well; and yet there were those among them who upon these great ministerial accomplishments questioned and doubted his calling and apostolic ministry.
While responding to their false accusation and questioning, Apostle Paul offers the success of his ministry among them, and the good he had done to them, as a proof of his apostleship: “Are not you my work in the Lord? Through the blessing of Christ on my labours, have not I raised a church among you? The seal of my apostleship are you in the Lord. Your conversion by my means is a confirmation from God of my mission.” He justly upbraids the Corinthians with their disrespect: “Doubtless, if I am not an apostle to others, I am so to you, I have laboured so long, and with so much success, among you, that you, above all others, should own and honour my character, and not call it in question.”
And if anybody is in doubt as to the apostolic calling of the late Rev. S.K Beckley, Path Restorer Bible Church stands as a testimony to the validity and prosperity of the call of God upon his life. It is a mark of great anointing to work and achieve great success in a rural environment where people are covenanted to various idols in worship.
And as long as the church continued to be governed and patterned after Christ and the principles of the Bible and not around personalities or traditions of men; the latter end shall be better and greatly increased than the present state. The church is marching on…
