I REMEMBER…
THE SURE WORDS OF PROPHECIES
“…and the Lord was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground” (1 Samuel 3:19 KJV)
When I remember the Late Rev. S.K Beckley, I remember the sure words of prophecies that never fell to the ground. Your slogan always was “If I use my mouth to cut a Kola nut for you and tell you to eat it, please, refuse. But if I declare unto you “Thus saith the Lord”, it is indeed “Thus saith the Lord” that should not be joked with.” And having lived with and followed you for some many years until your departure from this passing world, I can also boldly testify that your “Thus saith the Lord” was truly “Thus saith the Lord!”
I remember once telling a brother unto whom you proclaimed “Thus saith the Lord” but chose not to believe just because he wanted to go in the direction of his own self-made alternative: I asked him and said, following the track records of this father in faith, has he ever said, “Thus saith the Lord” and it didn’t come to pass? The brother answered “No.” Therefore, I told him to reconsider his ways. That notwithstanding, he still went in the direction of the way that seemed good unto him. But if you asked him today, he would tell you that Rev. S.K Beckley was indeed a man sent from God!
Like Prophet Samuel in the Old Testament record of the Bible, none of your “Thus saith the Lord” ever fell to the ground! Your prophetic utterance was always very accurate and true. Your prophetic vision was unmistakably clear. You were not of them who operates by the familiars to declare prophecies. No, you didn’t catch wind in your prophetic declaration. Even after you have left, some of your prophetic words are still coming to pass! You were indeed, a prophet approved of God by many signs and wonders. You were a sign to your generation. Many people from home and abroad always waited at your “gate” for the “Thus saith the Lord” in your mouth.  The accuracy of your prophetic utterances is a proof of your fellowship and intimacy with God. You have so much trained your spirit as to be able to know and pick the voice of God in this world of many voices. May God give us such men again!
The tributes continues, watch out for the next episode…
