It was an urgent message that demanded urgent response. Any act of lingering could spell doom for the recipient of this divine message. The cup of iniquity was full and the cup must of necessity be poured forth. The pact is sealed! The verdict is passed! The patience and forbearance of God had been exhausted, the door of mercy is closed and judgment must of necessity be meted out. ESCAPE FOR THY LIFE LEST THOU BE CONSUMED before the overflowing judgment comes was the express and passionate command to Lot and his family.
ESCAPE FOR THY LIFE! The same message comes to you today. Sin and unrighteousness will not continue forever. God will surely bring everyman to judgment. God will judge every act of sin. Though hands join with hands, though sin was well planned, executed and concealed, yet, sinner will not go unpunished. The wicked shall be turned to hell and all the nations that forget God.” The wrath of God is fast coming upon the children of disobedience. ESCAPE FOR THY LIFE! For God is not slack concerning this promise of judging the sinners. Thus says the Lord, The earth that now is and the sinners therein are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the Day of Judgment and perdition of ungodly men. Do you have ear to hear? Is your soul precious to you? Then escape for your dear life! There is a great danger in lingering nigh. The original recipient of this message lingered nigh and became pillar of salt! Don’t be careless. Don’t be presumptuous. Don’t be assuming. Don’t gamble with your soul! Don’t take chances. Judgment is coming and NO sinner will escape being punished! Please, ESCAPE FOR THY LIFE!
But how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? For you to escape from the impending doom what must you do? There is a WAY of escape. It is the way of salvation. The only way to escape is SALVATION. Or what else comes to your mind? It is an escape out of judgment into the salvation of God. You cannot escape by self righteousness, it is a filthy rag. Neither can you escape by mere church-going for judgment must first begin from the house of God. You can not also escape by any religion, it is Satan’s highest deception and men’s great rebellion against their creator and His approved WAY of salvation. Don’t stay in self righteousness, religion or church-going, none of it will provide a fortress strong enough to withstand the terrible judgment of God.
ESCAPE FOR THY LIFE! Because there is a WAY of escape. There is a great Saviour with the great salvation. And how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? You shall by no other means escape.
All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. The wages of sin is death (eternal separation from God). But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. God is not willing that any man should perish and so has made a way of escape for you in Jesus. Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved! By NO other means shall ANY man be saved.”
How shall we escape.? Sin will definitely trap you in for God’s awful judgment. How shall we escape..? Whoso ever covers his sin shall not prosper, but whosoever confesses and forsakes shall have mercy.” How shall we escape.? Let the wicked forsakes his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts, let him return unto the Lord, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. How shall we escape.? Believe on the Lord Jesus and thou shall be saved from the wrath to come.
God is angry with the wicked everyday. And so the wrath of God is coming on the children of disobedience. ESCAPE FOR YOUR DEAR LIFE! Today is the day of salvation, today is the accepted time. If you are waiting too long to repent, you might not repent too soon; and you don’t know when it will be too late for you to repent. ESCAPE FOR YOUR DEAR LIFE! And after escape, LOOK NOT BEHIND THEE LEST THOU BE CONSUMED STILL. Escape and keep going in the way of salvation until the Saviours face you see.
