All family needs to be used are restored. That can start with a godly woman. What is multi done to see mother crackling a child? What a wonderfully natural thing it is to see women of all races and religions loving their children. The African woman holding her baby has the same sparkle in her eyes as her Chinese sister. From Hawaii to London, Russia to Italy, there are certain feelings that transcend culture. A mother’s love is the love from which truth is spawned. We need, we love, with touch, we give! *When God allows us to parent, He desires us to love.*
There is something unique about a woman’s natural ability to nurture. In the case of the Shunamite woman whose son fell into his father’s arm with a violent headache, It was his mother who refused to accept his impending death. She saddled a donkey and rode to the man of God, demanding that he raise up the now-dead child.! She knew the child was dead; she just refused to accept it. She was so convinced he would live that she will not bury him.
This woman is no different from Rizpah, a courageous mother in 2 Samuel 21:8-11, or from Mary and the other women who ran to the tomb expecting to find Jesus’ dead body, while the disciples were shut up in a room for fear of the Jews.
When a woman is pregnant, she shares her food and oxygen with a baby she has never seen, much less known. Her warm hands stroke her bulging abdomen as she reaches out to a baby who cannot see her, but shares a bond that exists before birth. Her mineral and proteins supplies begin to serve two guests at one table. Her cord carries life to each child who’s every need is dependent upon for fulfillment. Her tender breasts collect milk as they become the place where the baby will be nourished. He need not depart from her; his needs can all be made in her arms.
Men could not create a machine as multifaceted as a mother. What else can feed, clothe, touch, provide intimacy and affection and training? All these needs are met for the child without ever leaving on spot. This is the place of provision. It is the place of excellence.
I pray for you: May the Lord make you so wealthy and healthy enough to provide life, provision, protection, love, affection, courage leadership, excellence for every child that will come through your biological and spiritual womb!
