WHO HAS POWER OVER DEATH?

There is no man that has power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither has he power in the day of death”

Death is many times unexpected. Maybe it’s a car accident, a severe heart attack, or the discovery of a fatal disease that will bring a sudden end to our hopes and dreams. THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT DEATH EXCEPT BE READY FOR IT. We cannot ask it to come another day. That is our of our control.

But how would you feel if someone besides God were to take it upon himself to decide the day of your death? What if you were completely defenseless and someone decided that you didn’t have the right to live? What if that person were your own mother? Does that sound crazy? It isn’t! Every day more and more women are opting for an abortion.

Those who are in favour of abortion usually say that they are defending a woman’s right to choose. But these same people don’t even consider the harm that this intervention can bring to the life of the same woman. Having an abortion can result in severe pain, infection, infertility, and even death. However, the greatest damage is not physical, but emotional and spiritual. There will always be guilt feelings that have to be dealt with, and there is no way to go back and undo the wrong. Even when a woman comes to know forgiveness in Christ, it is often difficult for her to forgive herself.

Marry women choose an abortion because they think that caring for a baby is complicated, especially when it is an unplanned pregnancy. It is true that caring for a baby is a lot of work! But it is much better to face this challenge and count on the Lord’s help than to have to live the rest of your life with the knowledge that you have killed your own child. Many women only come to the realization of what they have done when they hold future babies in their arms and feel the warmth of their little bodies.
